Tire Discounters

I’ve been a customer of this shop for over five years now, and their customer service has been consistently excellent the entire time. I bring my car in regularly for oil changes and tire replacements, and every visit has been smooth and hassle-free. The staff is friendly and always takes time to explain what my car needs ( and just as importantly, what is doesn’t). I never feel like I’m being upsold on unnecessary services, which is rare to find in this industry. I highly recommend them if you’re looking for a trustworthy, reliable auto shop.

This place is the best tire shop in Athens and probably the state of Georgia. They are the friendliest, nicest and most helpful people around. I will never ever ever go to any of tire shop. And Camille is the absolute best. Luv you guys and keep up the awesome work.

I will be a repeat customer. I called concerning an online deal on tires. Eddie was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions. The price included tires, alignment and oil change. It was 5:30 on the Wednesday before the fourth of July. I asked if he would be able to install them today. He politely said yes, come on up. He double checked stock and said there were only 3 in stock but he could have the fourth tire tomorrow. I thanked him and told him I would be there Friday morning. I arrived at approximately 8:40 Friday morning. The place was packed. Eddie apologeticly informed me it would be a 3 hour wait. I handed over my keys and went for a walk. When the car was ready a young lady totaled my bill. No haggle, it was exactly as promised. Thank you to everyone responsible for such a favorable experience and getting me back on the road again.

We’ve been going to Porterfield, now Tire Discounters, in Athens for years and have always had a great experience. I bought a full set of tires there a couple of months ago and really appreciated the honest advice on tire selection. No pressure, just helpful guidance, fair pricing, and excellent service. They also gave me a coupon for a free oil change on my next visit, which was a great bonus. What finally prompted me to leave a review was my daughter’s recent experience. She was getting ready for a road trip across the country and needed a new set of all-terrain tires. Camille, Eddie and the team at Tire Discounters found her an unbelievable deal. Truly the best price we found, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Honest, helpful, and consistently great to work with. Highly recommend the Athens location.
